Lovely bright medium ruby colour , wide light ruby rim . Strawberry , red cherry and raspberry nose along with a meaty touch , and dried herbs . On the palate sweet red cherries predominate , dried herbs , that meaty character returns plus a touch of liquorice. Nice roundness balanced by fresh acidity , rounded but pretty noticeable tannin . The alcohol is slightly noticeable but does not unbalance the wine , better to serve this slightly cool. Fills out well on the palate and offers a fresh and elegant finish with good length. This is nice now , still young and will be able to age over the next decade, an excellent if quite expensive Rosso.
