Barbera d'Alba

I love this wine. It’s one of my everyday quaffers. This ‘15 Barbera offers an (almost) Aldo Conterno concentration of classic flavours but lacks the oak treatment, so way much more Barbera nekedness involved here.

Think Aldo Conterno richness without the oakiness. A complete Barbera homerun, seriously worthy of your attention. Go get it!

Again an excellent showing in QPR. Light on it’s feet (pinot noir like), animalistic, pure. In Italian we say: “una Barbera in purezza”

2023 fall. Classic, uncomplicated but with plenty of stuffing

2018!

14.5 ABV but seems lighter. Smoke and bitter cherry. Lacking electric acidity.

前のビンテージがすごく良かったので、気になり再飲。
バルベーラらしいジューシーな果実味に、チャーミングな酸。
とはいえ、前のビンテージほどの複雑さがなく、フツーになってしまってた。ちょっと残念。

Good bottle. Of the lighter side with bright acidity. Still medium tannins and structure.

Opens up nicely -- dark fruit, restrained acidity

口に含むとチャーミングな果実味。
そして、いい意味での青さというかハーブやタバコっぽいニュアンス。溶け込んだタンニン。
大人しい中にもブルネッロのようなピチピチとしたパワーも感じる。エレガント系バルベラのファイナルアンサーか
