So I jumped the gun a little on this one. It’s tight and will be much better in time, but after a few hours in the decanter is started to unfurl. The nose is all ripe, roasted plum, blackberry, currant, and blueberry with notes of leather, thyme, underbrush, mud, and a touch of cinnamon. This is subtle on the entry but really explodes on the mid-palate and never ending finish. All of the aromas come through on the palate with the addition of tar and wet concrete. The tannins here are substantial, and it was a little much until the steaks came off the grill. Big wine with big flavors. Will sit on the next bottle for at least a few years, but no regrets - beautiful beast of a wine.

A thick layer of black fruits with a hint of blue, on top of a muscular rustic tannic structure. Does not show the aromatic detail and deeper sense of minerality in Cuvee Estagnol and Fontaneou which better demonstrate those qualities with heightened level of acidities. Superior to most Bandols which can be too heavy, shallow and tannic.

Jul 4th, 2020Första dagen upplevde jag det som en besk eftersmak - efter ngr dagar i kylskåp o nu i lite mindre glas så mötte det syran i tabbouleh riktigt bra. Den kanske helt enkelt behövde tid att öppna upp sig.

Aug 12th, 2018Buttery flavor, acid, sugar that sticks, less balance than pradeaux, that’s jagged! Acid is all over the place, hanging raspberries, mulberries, grapes, plum.. hmm just hints and lack of continuity but potential that doesn’t come together
