Dark ruby color with purple highlights. Aromas of black fruit, graphite and savory spices. Dried black cherry fruit leads the palate with additional notes of black currants, baking spices and milk chocolate. Pleasant amount of oak on the long finish. Nice complexity, silky tannins and reasonable balance. Missing the floral/funky qualities I look for in an Old World Cab Franc but still a solid wine.
