Beautiful ruby in color with a light ruby rim.

Fruity nose of blueberries, sour cherries, vanilla, cedar, dirt, bell pepper, forest floor, green herbs, black pepper and smoke.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Tart on the palate with strawberries, cranberries, raspberries, oak, vanilla, licorice, bell pepper, smoke, earth, spices, vegetables, pencil lead and peppercorn.

Medium plus on the finish with angular tannins, tart cranberries and bitter green lettuce.

This 4 year old is still young and unbalanced. Complex and interesting with a nice mouthfeel. Not very enjoyable by itself and better with food like fatty cheeses.
An hour in a decanter didn't help at all, if anything, it became more acidic. A few years in the bottle should do the trick.

14.8% alcohol by volume.
