Tasted 22/09/2016
Such an aerial version of Viognier - subtle, mineral, tangy. Aged on its fine lees and in French oak for 6 months.
Starts with pale lemon color
Refined and delicate bouquet of lychee, white flowers (rose, peony, osmanthus), coriander honey, pomelo, pineapple and gooseberry. Some smokey whiff.
Light-plus body, refreshing acidity. White grapefruit, dragonfruit, quince, alycha, white peach.
Zesty lingering finish of soaked apples, kiwi and noble persistent minerality.
Delicious pairing to red mullet grilled with shrimp sauce.

Sep 23rd, 20162015 vintage. At Costa Navarino in Greece. Pale lemon hue. Apricot sauce, peaches and chalky minerality. So so nose. On the palate, medium acidity, medium plus body, medium plus concentration and medium finish. Pear drop candy flavours are not attractive and I can't really drink more than a few sips. Not for keeping, nor drinking for that matter!
