I have to add that champagne as an aperitif after red wine is so good. Everything in the notes pops so much more and adds another whole level of delicious. The descriptors become electrified like monosodium glutamate gets added or they are on steroids.

The fireplace reads, “Happiness is closer than you think, it comes in a glass of Krug!” Who am I to argue?
Every Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, I open a bottle of Krug Rosé. While their vintage cuvées are phenomenal, I really love their N/V Rosé.
It is delicate all the way around...shows such finesse and balance.
The nose so engaging. Cherry kirsch, strawberries, black raspberries, raspberry, pink grapefruit, tangerine, lean watermelon, light sea spray, soft of the softest most delicate; powdery chalkiness, sea fossils and volcanic minerals, hints of orange citrus rind, just a touch of baguette crust, light spice, fresh red floral and pink rose petals.
The body is rich and full yet feels like a feather on the palate. Super fine micro bubbles. Everything so beautiful, balanced and harmonious. Cherry kirsch, strawberries, black raspberries, raspberry, pink grapefruit, tangerine, blood orange, lean watermelon, peach, light sea spray, some of the softest most delicate; powdery chalkiness, sea fossils and volcanic minerals, hints of orange citrus rind, just a touch of baguette crust, light spice, fresh red floral and pink rose petals. The acidity is as perfect as it gets. The finish is absolutely incredible and persistent for minutes.
This bottle was corked in the summer of 2016. It’s a blend of 57 wines. The oldest is from 2000 and the youngest is from 2008.

Amazing elegance , aromatics of red flowers , orange zest , cranberry , pomegranate , liquid minerals . Everything here is in perfect harmony the best young rose from Krug i have ever tasted . 21st addition 2008 base .

Very opulent and creamy, this is a big Champagne in every way. Impressive and full of flavor, but perhaps also lacking some sharpness and finesse. Still, I’d be happy drinking this every day.

2008 base. 21 eme edition. Best Krug Rose in several years. Broad at this point, but there is edginess lurking. Deep red fruit.

Seemed off. Still wine was pronounced, lacked acidity, hint of sour flavors. I bought it from reputable retailer. Maybe something happened in transportation or it is in a dumb phase (or I am). I don’t know, just didn’t seem like Krug rosé. Doesn’t seem fair to rate it.
