Entre Nous Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
06’ Very good. Possibly the best vintage ever. Previous notes still apply.

Nov 4th, 201706' Entre Nous Cabernet. 1st vintage. I know the more recent vintages have been predominately a cab base blend. I'm guessing this 06' is very close, if not 100% Cab. That's just a guess :)
A very rare treat indeed. An old world nose with a touch of violets. On the palate I get plum, ripened cherry, leather, mocha. Nice lingering finish. The acidity/ tannins of this sensational wine are still prominent. That's telling me this bottle will drink nicely for another 7/10 years. Elegant, big & bold... at the same time. All the rough edges have dissipated. It's ready to enjoy now. I wish I had another bottle of the 06'.
Can't help but notice that Philippe Melka first name is spelled differently on a multitude of articles/websites???

Perfection. Fantastic wine with proper age = spectacular.

Jan 5th, 2020Very interesting how similar this wine was in structure to the 2013 Spoto Family Reserve Cabernet (From the Secret Acre). This wine had a similar fruit structure of black cherry chocolate cordial and a little bit of pepper and graphite but has lost the touch of sweetness in the nose that I get with youthful wines. To me, this is classic Napa Cab. The edges on this one have rounded off quite a bit. It has since softened to show its silkier yet robust style. Medium+ to full bodied wine, the Spoto Family Reserve edged this one out in the fruit department but these two wines are both great and immense! It was a real pleasure being able to enjoy these side by side.
