So happy I had the patience to see this one evolved over the last two years. WTF...Integration of fruit/tannins/acidity/ balance... gorgeous.

Wednesday Wine Committee and what a fantastic line-up by John! Typical format of 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert wine. All tasted blind.
I’ve been fortunate to have a few Entre Nous wines and all have been knockouts...this fell a bit short in comparison. I guessed a Paso GSM, others guessed Grenache or merlot. Quite spicy, fruit forward and herbal.

07’ Entre Nous Cabernet. Made by Melka . 24 months in 100 % new oak. Only four barrels made of this Cabernet.
This was a beast, few years back. Not anymore! Drinking in a sweet spot right now. The nose is so inviting , with Cherry pie, red roses.
Palate- Abundance of rich red fruit, chocolate covered cherries, splash of vanilla & spice. All upfront & in your face Cab! Drink them up in the next 3 to 4 years.
Very enjoyable. Highly recommended!

No comparison to the 05 or 06 vintage. Some what green and astringent.
Update: two days later and this bottle is rocking. 9.2 to 9.4. So good.

First wine in over 2 weeks after dealing with walking Pneumonia. I believe this is the inaugural vintage, in a great place. Fairly powerful yet the grace of this wine stands out. Berry, light cedar and plum. Finish presents a mouth coating rush of black fruits and anise. Fantastic.
