After 8 year, this hasn’t lost its boisterous fruit. Maraschino liqueur, raspberry liqueur, cloves, herbs. Long, lingering finish.

Aug 22nd, 2021My tastes have moved past classic Kosta Browne, so I personally enjoy this differentiated bottling. Out is the power of fruit, and in is a strong savory and spicy presentation. Tart cherries, vanilla (yes, for a Pinot), freshly cut spicy peppers, and baking spices.

Jan 26th, 2019Happy birthday to me! Well, to Mrs Feyereisen as well. Celebrating tonight before heading overseas for 10 days and what a bottle this was. Kosta Browne is always special but this may have been my favorite - cola and cherry notes ride along a finish that sails on for at least a minute. Lucky to have snagged a handful of these last summer. Cheers all!

Best Pinot I’ve had from Kosta. This bottle was like silk from the time it was popped till it was finished. Unbelievable wine and I don’t give many wines great ratings.

Mar 11th, 2018When popped the nose was red cherry, cola and cherry compote. After a couple hours of air the wine has evolved into black cherry with some secondary herbal notes. This is drinking incredibly well now. Don’t hold for long.

So one of my resolutions is to drink good wine whenever I want with people special to me. What better way to start, a special wine with my most special someone. My wife. Wow what a wine. Great fruit. Extremely young but still very complex and developed. Happy 2018 to everyone!!
