A well made ripe Zinfandel, rich full bodied, nose is full of ripe black cherries, coffee, tobacco, plums, full body , soft tannins, lacking a bit of acidity, long smoky finish. A bit overwhelming for me, yet a typical Californian zin that is well made. My score 86, drink to 2018

Muted nose, yet shows honeydew, fresh rains, (petrichor), and ripe banana. Palate opens up, and is expressive. Tart and rich, despite the complete lack of oak. 100% Carneros, from Sangiacomo, and Ricci. Pure expression of fruit. Yum!

Bright and clear with just a slight green tint, ripe bananas dominate from nose to finish. Papaya, mango, and tropical fruits are also present. Carneros presents, BLACK BANANAS!

Holy bananas! This thing is a straight banana bomb on the nose and palate. Talking super ripe black banana and banana creme pie. You get some of that lemon cream, almond, cookie, biscotti and amaretto all coming through on the nose too. Palate shows banana chunks, green pear, green apple, vanilla and clove.
