Back in the day I bought a dozen of these and don’t record everyone. See previous note 271 weeks ago. Emphasising again that the Mornington Peninsula is great for Pinot Noir. Mid to light Ruby in colour with pale slightly tawny edges. Rich red fruits on the palate with aromas of Sous Bois/compost heap. A very good Mornington Pinot with Medium plus intensity belying its pale colour. Will have the remaining 3 bottles over the next few years.

Pale to mid crimson. Aromas of strawberry and earthy minerality - bitumen and coal nuances. Great palate intensity and length with notes of beetroot and earthy root vegetables. Really enjoying other Mornington Peninsula Pinots since visiting there last year. Just as good as the Yarra Valley for Pinot Noir Chardonnay and Syrah I think.

Seemed a bit tired at first, then opened up nicely after an hour or so.

Looks like '06 Echezeaux from many "good" producers. Better with 6 hours of air and then the aromatics leap.

Structurally sound, my cold stopped me from picking up any subtleties. Will get again if I come across it.

Once it saw some air showed tremendous depth. Primary fruit initially and then savory tones.

Delicious. Gentle, with a nice balance of fruit and savoury characters. Hint of cocoa. Soft finish. Would like a little more length, but the solution is another sip. And another.
