The nose is quite pronounced with vanilla and toasty oak mixing with marzipan and suggestions of baked apple. The palate shows a good linearity with medium bodied flavors of vanilla cream, ripe pear and hints of butterscotch. Silky smooth through the mid-palate, this is an excellent effort from Kundsen Vineyards. Drink 2019-2029- 91

The 2017 Knudsen Vineyards Chardonnay was sourced from their estate vineyard in the Dundee Hills AVA of the Willamette Valley. Weighing in at 13.5% alcohol, this starts off with a bouquet of Meyer lemon zest, Challah bread, Pink Lady apple and shades of clove. The palate reveals a silky texture and a soft mouthfeel that feels more than inviting. There is a wonderful feeling of elegance to this wine as it drifts through the palate in a seamless fashion. Citrus fruit and melon flavors connect with the bright minerality. Showing beautifully now, this will continue to develop lovely nuances as it evolves over the next decade or more. Drink 2019-2032- 93

From the Knudsen family estate vineyard, established in 1971, is this elegant 2014 Dundee Hills Chardonnay. What makes this bottling special is that the Knudsen's have long been growers for Argyle. The 2014 vintage is the first wine they've vinified under their own label in over 25 years and it's a stunning effort. A testament to the fact that pleasure is possible where restraint rules. The nose is imbued with lemon tart, pear, and talcum powder. That citrusy, powdery-bordering-on chalky note carries on the palate as well, punctuated by acidity that hits on the sides of the tongue, followed by a pronounced mineral surge dusted with baking spices. 13.5% ABV | Sample

This was quite good if it is your type of Chard. Has transitioned into more of a vanilla Chard from my prior experiences.

Green Melon on the nose. Big slab of butter following after. Oaked. Taste is much more toned down compared to the smell. But still great.

While a more opulent style, had some lime and citrus elements that made it a refreshing Chard. Easy to drink and nice. At the Knudsen Winery tasting in NYC.
