I had this exact vintage many years ago with very fond memories. It was rich and almost purple blue in colour. This 1999 vintage has been sitting back waiting for another occasion. Now in the bottle for 15 years it has certainly changed from the experience I had in its younger day. Still has long legs yet now resembles a maroon brown appearance. On the nose it has a sharp initial scent that smooths of to almost a port smell. The palate is a light jammy flavour with blackberry and really rounds out to a smooth finish. Loved it years ago and still love it but completely different experience from the first. Wow!
