Made during WW2. Intense coffee and spices. Oxidized, almost like a Madeira. Tasted side by side with a VT Gewurtraminer from the same producer (2009) demonstrated similar flavor profile on the mid palate. Incredible.

Sep 16th, 2017Half bottle from '04 - drinking so beautifully especially when paired with Maine Lobster in a Gewertzaminer butter sauce with lobster roe. The pairing was 👌🏼 but the wine on its own is exotic, floral, and spicy but rich and still holding onto nice balanced acidity despite the age.
