Olde Wyve's Tale Cooley Ranch Carignane

Black fruits, spice box, cinnamon, cocoa, kiss of animal and funkiness. Nice body with very juicy profile. Good texture/drinkability. 140 carignane vines! More feral Carignane funk on day 2

Distinctly Carignan, but seemingly dissonant wine. Fruit is clean and crystalline, bright and spicy with nice leanness, but the tannins feel gritty and green. Close but no cigar

Even better on day 2. Great dark fruit. Silky.

Pretty fruit and florals up front countered by dirt and spice on the finish. Nice acid.

Sour red fruit with some earthy spice in there.

Fun chewy fruit with a little spice.

quite delicious. balanced.

Blackish fruit with some tannins at the very end. Pleasant, if a bit thin, wine I’d drink with apps or a lighter meal.
