Pretty lively, citrus notes , intense--not a buttery or rich style

Oct 21st, 2016This Kistler was in a dynamite place. It was honestly a little bit awkward getting going. Muted fruit. Then a half hour later, this one decided to show. Mineral driven Chardonnay yet very viscous especially towards the finish. Front was a little more acidic and mineral driven.
Ample yellow fruit and herbs. Still pretty darn youthful! Middle had honeyew, cantaloupe, anise. Finished strong and more obtuse. This wine would have no problems kicking butt alone or with a dang steak!! A delightful wine. In Chardonnay zen today. The 14 Aubert Eastside was good, but this one was better!

Birthday gift from KA. Love this one. Not overly oaked or too buttery, great acid to complement food. Had 2011

Apr 26th, 2015This is my favorite of the Kistler Chards. Has the most minerality and ages the best.
