Kistler Vineyard Chardonnay

Very good at what the do—buttery oak Chard. Not as over the top as I remember it from 10 yrs ago

Another great Weekly Wine Committee in the books, this time hosted by Dan. Format stayed the same (1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert wine) and everything is guessed blind.

My first Kistler, believe it or not. I called this chardonnay (as were all the whites). Very "sweet" nose to it, but still had some butter/popcorn traits. Oily finish, alongside wet rock, tea and lemon. Very nice.

Creamy oak, bright fruit, elegant finish.

Tropical notes give way to a caramel apple quality that coats the tongue. Massive and hedonistic. Built to age.
