Good value. Young. Black dried fruit. Almost bitter. Dry tobacco. Balanced.

Excellent QPR from Costco at $19! Aromatic, dark fruit, chocolate, and graphite. Medium finish and relatively soft tannin profile even with a relatively new vintage. Maison Ginestet, 76% merlot, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Very nice Bordeaux for $18 at Costco. Deep colors, tight tannins and holds up well even after the meal (unlike some Merlots IMO). Could use a bit more personality, but still a fine wine for the price point.
