A very strong, bold Tempranillo that captures the region's essence. However, the bitter undertones dominate, taking away from the peppery balance I was hoping for. The sour bitterness did not improve after the wine breathed. UPDATE: This wine tasted much better the next day, after having more time to breathe.

Not getting the description on the back label. Who writes these things? It's quite tight with a bit of spice on the nose. Soft and delicate flavors of red fruit and licorice. Not complex but not bad for $7.
