Kirkland Signature
Gigondas Red Rhone Blend

Truncated family party notes. Straight down the middle fastball of a Giggie. Big but balanced. Fruit and stony garrigue. Some tannin, soft but significant. Nice value!

Blackberry, lavender, and some earth on the nose. Lacks some of the "garrigue" that I would typically associate with the rhone valley. Blackberry, tar, black licorice and firm tannins on the palate. Black fruit on the drying finish, which does go on for quite a while. Nice ,drinkable middle of the road Ginondas, but for the price, buy this one up.

When you see Gigondas at Costco prices, you buy it, right? It’s not great, not special, but it is enjoyable. The nose shows more promise than the flavor experience. The forward notes on the palate are most exciting. Mid and finishing notes are unremarkable. Subtle earth and farm, but underwhelming.

Mar 29th, 2021Good but not particularly noteworthy. Grenache for the American palate. Cherry, cooked plum, and rock aromas.

The major grape combinations is wonderful. Light but excellent flavor of dark berries. Nice on pallet and slightly sweet. Love it

Ripe, but not showy. Little to no oak. Lacks complexity and freshness, but not bad wine.

Nice! Plum, cherry, violets, garrique, minerals, pepper, and just a touch of bacon fat! Great long finish, ninety minute decant!
QPR that you can not beat.

What others have said: glorified CDR, tasty but not impressive at all. Used to be able to afford Gigondas on the reg - not anymore and this doesn’t scratch the itch

Feb 14th, 2025Had never tried a Kirkland wine before but was convinced to try this after viewing an Andre Mack video. Price was right, alcohol was a little higher than expected, and the wine was good for the price but nothing out of the ordinary. Have definitely had many better GSMs.
