This is a great little Pinot! Dark cherry plum and smoky sandalwood and rose nose, brimming with licorice, tart cherry, dense and structured goose berries, raspberries, black currants. Typical of cab or merlot; really interesting in this. Plenty of acidity to soothe the savage palate. This isn't clumsy and manhandled, just very focused and flavorful.

Sep 29th, 2013Bright cherry aromas, touch of forest floor. [2nd/ 3rd use barrels. 10 months French oak] Nice balance for the high alcohol (14.5%); intense color and bold black cherry fruit. Light body.
