Needs a bit of time to open up after pour. Strong nose of alcohol, oak and dark fruit. Big body of black cherry and black currant. Left in the glass long enough, acidity mellows out and becomes more integrated with great mouth coating tannins on the finish, which is long and filled with oak and black pepper.
