This wine has a stony, mineralic nose with a lot of spiciness; the palate exhibits spice notes but the fruit is a very restrained especially for 2012. The fruit character is hard to discern but it is on the darker side rather than the redder side. Good levels of acid; the tannins are not in play, and there is a slight mushroomy finish. Decent value-priced food wine. Could wish for a lot more stuffing but not at this price.

Burger night. Wild fruit, forest floor, tart cherry, underbrush and nice acid.

Metallic/minerally. I don't dislike it. Not "big" like a lot of recent pinots , which I approve of (dont care for the super fruity over the top pilots) Could be more balanced but overall very good.

Great value. Bright acid, smooth tannins. Pie cherry, raspberry with great minerality. A hint of mushroom with hints of wet stone.

Aromatic nose of crunchy red cherries, morello cherries, a touch of blackberries and cola. Mineral, quite slatey, complex enough.
Pure, lean palate, driven by fresh acidity.
All about purity. Highly enjoyable.
