Second of the blind white wines at this quarter's S&E Wine Club, which for whites was Chardonnay vs Chenin Blanc. Thanks Dave and Jenna.

Very young in appearance with a light greenish yellow. Interesting nose with tropical notes, grapefruit, limoncello and a bit waxy. Tangy attack on the palate with medium acidity (6/10) and medium bodied. A bit steely feel on the palate with lemon, crayons and a bit sweet too. A touch bland in the medium finish. Might just need a little more time to open up. Drink till 2021.

This is a Viognier with about three weeks of skin contact. Bitter apricots with almost butterscotch aromas. It wasn’t quite my jam, but others tasting loved it so I’ll reserve giving it a numerical score.
