Kim Crawford
Hawke's Bay Rosé Blend
Whenever I see @kimcrawfordwine it takes me back to my uni days in Auckland. I worked part time at @glengarrywines in the city which meant I got to attend some pretty cool wine tastings. One that will always stand out was a Kim Crawford one in Ponsonby where the entertainment was drag queens 👸! Being an 18 year old small town girl it was definitely one heck of a welcome to city 🌃 life!
I also think that tasting was to celebrate their newly released 'Pansy' Rosé so the story is quite fitting for this tasting note 📝!
I picked up this 2016 Hawkes Bay Rosé from Liquorland for $14 on special. It's made from Merlot grapes as far as I'm aware.
It's a pretty pale rose pink colour on the eye 👀. The nose makes me think of jam on fresh bread with subtle hints of watermelon🍉. In the mouth it's super easy-drinking with red fruits dominating and hints of red grapefruit on the finish. Value for money 💰!
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine #tctastingnotes
