Look, this isn't typically a wine I'd pick up, but trying to find a decent unoaked Chardonnay in the Hampton, New Brunswick liquor store is a true needle/haystack situation and accomplishing this task solely from the user-unfriendly NB Liquor website is even worse.

It's not bad! Not wonderful, but not bad! I had to hunt down the wine maker's notes because I couldn't believe it's not butter(-y oak). Malolactic fermentation, people! Gets me every time.

Tropical fruit on the nose. It's not flabby, but definitely not one of the racy Nova Scotia whites we've been pounding back for the last week.

Very good. Grapefruit and pear. Paired with Bruschetta with Caprino cheese and roasted red peppers.

Crisp, light, great for summer. Strong citrus and pear taste. Went well with grilled snapper.
