This is really good. I took a risk as I thought this may have gone past it’s drinking window but it’s alive and well. Needs 30 minutes of air and then there is plenty of ripe, dark fruit which also gives some strawberry sweetness on the finish with additional spice. Nose is rich with blackberries, some oak, spice and sweet apple. Colour is vibrant red, showing some light brown / orange edges.

Oak barrel nose with a palate of soy sauce, pepper and candied cherry. Strawberry jam finish with some nice heat. Decanted for 2 hours.

Great nose! - bursting with red fruits. Well balanced with med tannin, style reflects the complexity of the locality and age of vines.... It feels very comfortable in its skin
