Jun 10th, 2024So good. Nose of intense minerals. Apricot dust. Ripe tangelo. So aromatic. Lurid. Palate has a massive core of minerals, apricot fruit, great complexity, poise and balance. Long apricot mineral infused finish. So pure but also needs some hours to open up.

Apr 10th, 2024Superb nose of tangerine, tangelo, slate and gorgeous minerals. Red grapefruit and barely ripe apricot. Wow. So focused and vivid. Palate is crunchy and chock full of minerals and so long. What a wine. Super clear and wonderful stone fruit and citrus on the palate. Love this new GG from Andi. Great acid and density and so playful as well. Nahe in Mosel clothes.

Jan 2nd, 2023Day 2 notes. Super mineral and very stoney nose. Some stone fruits and a hint of tropical fruits. Palate is intense with great acidity and a ton of grapefruit. Lively and energetic wine with tons of pithy fruits and length. Better yesterday but no slouch today.

Nov 30th, 2022The 19 is even better than the 18. Wow. Sick nose. Citrus oil, white cherries, minerals and super clean but also a bit reticent. I know this will open as some 19’s need 45 to 60 minutes for the aromatics to really shine. Some vulcanized rubber starts to show and intense slate. Stunning depth to these 19’s. Also some lemon oil starts to seep through. Wow, what a palate. Just insane energy and excitement. So pure and compact. Clean and fresh. The freshness of the 19’s is remarkable. What persistence and super clean minerality. Dazzling purity. Man that length. A super star. Superb mineral perfume accented by white flowers now. Confectionary aromas. Just brilliant. Just so complete and seamless. No flaws except it’s 5 years too young. Nose has a nice lemongrass aroma now. This has superb structure and such clarity. One of the best Schneiders ever. Might be 9.7 with air.

Jun 29th, 2021Wow. Been a minute since I’ve had this. Sick nose. Just sick. Honeyed, flowers, ripe peaches, white cherries, so complex and substantial. Really vivid and detailed. White raisins. Palate is gorgeous. So juicy and has a juicy mineral effect. So compact and clean. Amazing purity and density but beguilingly fresh. Wow this is fleshy but so compact at the same time. This really tows such an incredibly fine line which is why this is the work of a genius. Had 15+ years ahead of it. Nose as it airs gets herbal and super mineral. Love non fruit Nahe aromas. Stunning. Even better than the last bottle.

Jun 29th, 2021A new Grand Cru from Andi Schneider. Yay! Stunning nose. Lime blossom. Lime flower. Slate. Huge minerals. Cooling minerals. Nose is expressive and tight at the same time. Amazing balance and purity with serious mineral drive and power. So complex and juicy with exquisite balance. A gamey almost foie gras like finish. Love how savory Riesling can get. What density and texture and such elegance. This is amazing. A great great wine. Young but stunning.
