Finger Lakes Vignoles
Chilling closed it down, it exploded in citrus peel and stone fruit at ambient. Fascinating handling of Vignoles.

Apr 4th, 2017The exceptional weather from 2020 produced this enjoyable bright and mouthwatering wine, with notes of unripened nectarine, lime, and maybe melon.

Jun 30th, 2023More rounded, with a hint of baking spice in the finish. A hint sweeter than the Turkey Run vignoles

Jul 21st, 2022Come on Florida. My vote has been counted. Hope it helps silence the Floridaman.
Everything is political. Anybody who says otherwise, isn’t paying close enough attention.
Unfortunately, even wine.
Honeysuckle, light jasmine. Very subtle bouquet. Surprising, since I’m expecting more aromatics. Lilies.
Woah. Acidity. A bit too high to really get a good read. Citrus fruits. Honey. A lemongrass, rooibos tea quality.
A bit disappointing to be honest. I really love this region, producer, and the wine scene around Seneca Lake. Might just be me expecting something closer to a well-rounded Riesling. I can see the similarities, the acid is just throwing me off.

Has a distinctive nose that made me think of old lady perfume. But somehow that wasn't bad? Lots of acid, definitely dry.
