On the nose this is rather vegetal with blackcurrant leaf to the fore followed by riper cassis notes, almost port like in character, black chocolate and bitter liquorice also showing. I. The mouth the dark berry fruit is rather staid but with juicy tannins and a boring finish, very uninspiring stuff!

Very unusual Cab! More similar to a Merlot or a generic Red Blend than a Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s innocuously pleasing to the palate and would pair with a variety of foods including hard cheeses, roasted meats and fruit salads. Not memorable enough to buy again. #
