Keller Estate
La Cruz Vineyard Chardonnay
2005 vintage. Very good wine. Aged well. Quite complex on the palate. Easy on the nose. Very pear, white grapes for tastes with a hay and butterscotch finish. Quite drinkable.

Pale straw, medium++ viscosity, totally clear, no sediment. Nose has honey, white flowers, maybe some minerality. Palette sees residual sweetness and oak, which evolves into medium+ acid that finishes long. A surprising amount of alcohol on the palette with medium mouthfeel. An oaky Sonoma Chardonnay that is pretty well balanced by sweetness and solid minerality.

Feb 10th, 2016Aroma of honey, oak, and lime. Taste of tangerines, a touch of bitterness and mineral. Smooth and round with a hint of sweetness. Lingering bitterness and alcohol show up in the aftertaste.
