Nov 2nd, 2019Full nose and body. A true South African but nevertheless elegant. Just excellent. I had the 2015 in 2018 and 2019

#capewine2018

Oct 16th, 2018Deep blackish red. Complex nose of cassis, tobacco, bellpepper, vanilla, cedar wood. Full-bodied, mouthfilling, palate confirms the nose, high alcohol, medium and lively acidity, medium+ but super soft tannins, also suprisingly high amount of minerality. Very long afterhall. Very nice drinking now but with a lot more to come. Ridiculous value for money! For just 35€ this wine is in a league similar to second cru bordeaux or the better napa valley cabs. (And also the first ever south african wine recieving 100/100 tim atkin pts! Get it while it‘s cheap 😅)
