Cork extracted with a DARK black stain with visual sediment. This bottle was double decanted, because every Kamen I have ever had (even the 05 that I had a couple of years ago) required an insane amount of air and time. This one was no different. A YOUTHFUL monster. On the nose are black and blue fruits, meaty, peppery. Theh entry of this wine is dark, inky blackberry cassis and a brambly rhubarb kind of note. Black licorice and cinnamon spice in the middle. Finish is a TON of black pepper, sweet, youthful chalky fruit. Oh mama. Double decanting did a lot to wake this one up, but I still wonder what I'm missing by drinking these way too early.
