This has held up quite well. Waiting for a bigger finish, but nothing happening. That said, it's a fine example of the durability of 07 in Paso Robles.

Let this breathe for an hour, and the tannins on the nose were still tight. Black fruit, leather, a little sage fragrance. On the palate, the mouthfeel is very balanced and not as chewy as I was expecting. The acids carry the fruit flavors over the front palate but don't linger, instead making way for tannins carrying more of the aged blackberry-leather-tobacco. It's an elegant wine, and drinking beautifully. Glad we pulled it out now.
