This bottle of Juniper from Margaret River was part of my Salvation mixed case from Vinomofo.com.au I'm a big fan of the Juniper Chardy's so it was nice to try something else from their range.
This 2014 dry grown Shiraz is a purple-red colour on the eye. The nose reminds me of black olives, Vicks and candied berry fruit. It has a smooth, luscious palate with tannins gripping onto the taste buds right at the back of the palate. Very interesting textures in the mouth.

Nov 2nd, 2018Superbly rich, fruity ... This wine is produced from the oldest Shiraz vines in the region. We buy some of their Shiraz every year, but the 2000 was really special, so we stocked up. This was our last bottle of this great vintage.... Margaret River Shiraz is generally a much lighter style than a classic Aussie Shiraz, but 18 years of ageing has allowed the full fruit intensity to develop. This was a real treat for a special occasion.
