Julien sunier's fluerie was the first wine I liked (being mostly a whiskey tequila vodka gin lager drinker). Before I knew what "natural wine" was. Luc poured me a glass, I smelled it, drank it and said " what the fuck is this?" "Julien sunier fluerie gamay from the Beaujolais." After that I drank anything with one or more of the words: Beaujolais gamay fluerie concrete-tank-carbonic-maceration hand harvested neutral oak etc. I've had a lot of very special and very shitty wines since then, but this one I still love. Now i also inquire about soil types, fermentation, how old the barrels are and how big they are and whatever. But Every time I drink this I remember knowing nothing but loving what I was drinking. And I remember that sometimes that is the best way to drink wine. Also autocorrect misspells fluerie and I can't handle correcting it.
