This wine just speaks to me. The second bottle we had and just hits every note. Light but complex. Blackberry and pepper but ends light with slow beautiful drawn out note of lemon curd in a macaron.

Dec 13th, 2020What a special wine. Lush blackberries a bit of almond but a good amount of earth and funkyness. Had the 2017 vintage a few months ago and it was amazing the 2018 vintage might need a bit more time in the bottle or left to open more or decanted a bit.

Jul 16th, 2020This is one of those wines that is so complex that when the bottle is done you want another because you haven’t quite figured it out yet. Julien Pineau does no wrong. Bold super minerally but so well balanced. It’s just such a quintessential French wine in the best way.

Tremendous wine. Earthy, strong mineral undercurrents and densely flavored while vibrant and fresh.The nose was earthy and loamy.
