Juwel Frühmesse Riesling

Nose is all minerals. Some apricot. Tropical fruit. Very refined nose. Keller like. Smarties. Confectionary. Sweet lime zest. Like rock candy. High acid, confectionary inner mouth aromas, so pure, so refined. Most refined Juwel riesling I have ever had. So elegant so classy. Nose is getting so deep and the palate has such insane smarties and is most vivid smarties I have ever had in a riesling. Stunning.

Nose is intensely mineral. Grapefruit, lime zest, lime blossom, wet stones and some lemon notes. Lovely spectrum here. Palate is coiled tight around a major core of minerality and has wonderful, expressive citrus fruits and dazzling purity and freshness. Long, winding finish. This needs time to show more but what is there is very promising.

Killer nose. Full on Riesling weather in NYC today. Unreal minerality. Cooling and so expressive. Apricot and peaches galore and such vivid clean, fresh fruit. Palate is super juicy and energetic. I mean this has insane energy! Terrific acidity and so vibrant with unreal density yet so delicate and pure. Amazing finish and clarity here. Super impressive. Nose opens up with some white flowers and fine herbs. Palate has so much minerality it almost clouds the fruit. Awesome balance. There is some apricot and peach there if you look. Terrific grip and structure. So long and complex. A brilliant wine.

Really really pretty nose. Confectionary and rocky minerality. Citrus pith. Apricot. Palate is so so suave. Wow. This has incredible texture and finishes wirh beautiful, elevated but in balance acidity that takes this to the next level. Wow. Electrifying. Really beautiful purity and so chiseled. Clean like spring water. Dense structure braces you on the finish. Really pure. Really clean. Sappy, salty, just incredible. Taught and precise. Most Keller like showing of her wines yet. Briliant. Tangy pure citrus fruits pop on the finish but this is stunningly mineral driven wine. Expertly made.

Brilliant nose. Impossibly complex as like a potpourri painted by Seurat. Honeyed. Citrus. Herbal. Savory. Gorgeous. So complete and enveloping. Just an amazing nose. Nuanced and detailed. Complex and juicy with unreal fruit and this lovely vinous extra special bitter thing happening. So savory on the finish. Almost like a foie terrine. Long and so balanced with outrageous purity. Really a nice contrast between lean minerals and ripe citrus and apricot fruit. Awesome wine.

Brilliant. Every bottle of Frühmesse I try is brilliant. This is best bottle of any vintage that I’ve tried. Easily GG quality. Stunning nose of citrus, mineral, it’s got a tight aromatic core or citrus and mineral with some fresh herbs as well. Loads of apricot. Stunningly detailed and precise with its aromas that are so beautiful and to be made out of high end crystal. Gorgeous. Deep, pithy and engaging fruit on the palate that is packed with minerality, explosive fruit and structure. So damn pure. So silky and the texture of this wine is so damn impressive. The length is just unreal. This has structure for 15-20 years.

No formal notes. So crystalline and pure. Closed though. Needs 3-4 years.

Wow more geeky than the 15. So piercingly mineral. Citrus peel but lingering hint of tropicality on the finish. Deep and concentrated. I feel like this should improve with age. Bought from Fass Selections. ... day 2 the rich density is more prevalent. This has potential upside over this level as it ages. Perhaps significant.

More of a wine geek wine than the 15 but should age gloriously. Nose of lemon zest. Palate is cleanly mineral. Striking. Lemon sparking water lemon on the palate. Lovely concentrated finish which leads me to believe that this will be a geek rockstar in 5 years. Bought from Fass Selections. ... an hour in the richness is kicking in. Like concentrated rocks.
