Billed as a 'elegant and sophisticated' red the Journeys End Huntsman is anything but. The colour and nose are pleasant and promise flavour that the wine cannot deliver. The wine is unbalanced with high tannins and tart fruit making for an unpleasant drinking experience. I couldn't even finish the bottle. Do not buy unless you need a cheap cooking wine.

Not my favorite, but it tasted very good with a perfect steak this evening! IIRC, this was a Woolies sale item, and was good value for the price. Would consider it again as it’s a nice blend, robust enough for the charred, flavorful T-bone, and had a smooth finish.
