Astounding- but like a rich Rioja, fruity and well balanced, soft tannins.

Bloody hell that was a surprise. Colder than ideal temp so not much on the nose at first, usual slightly stray nondescript plum. On the palate and with heat a burst of intense black cherry, powerful black pepper, and then almost a powdery earl grey sweetness to it. Oak well integrated so it's hidden by the dried tea smell. The brambly wet almost geranium-y aroma is equal to the pepper and by the third sip this was overpowering. Fun. Not for everyone.
