Firing now. All that junk-in-the-trunk needed time to flesh out, and man, does it still pack a sophisticated punch. 15.2 with vibrant tannins and powerful briary dry fruit all wrapped in elegant wet mouthfeel.

Can a 15.2% alcohol wine possibly be balanced? In the case of this 2008 Joseph Swan Zin, the answer is "almost!" Dried blackberries and dark cherries with some leather, licorice and a hint of black pepper. Proves that Zin doesn't have to be the mindless jammy fruit bomb it often is.
