Today I stopped by my store of choice with no intention of buying anything, just to look for ideas. When I saw this Pinot and it's label I said I guess I will breakdown a try this tonight. The aromas are a wonderful violet floral notes , some menthol, really nice red fruit, red raspberries and black cherries. I couldn't wait to get into this. This is a very well balanced Pinot with bright acidity and smooth tannins with a great mouth feel. There is also some good spice and hints of minerality. Not knowing anything about this wine until I got home and I Looked it up. I had no idea it was a Joseph Phelps wine. What a wonderful surprise and only cost me $27 bones. I am going back for moe!

A nice Sonoma Coast Pinot. Great with food. More balanced than a lot of what I have had from that area.

Exceptionally bright & vigorous for its age. No doubt another 10 years ahead if stored well. However, it was only moderately complex at the moment. Double decanted to bring it around, then it was lovely. May be a bit dumb at the moment, but that was my only bottle and I doubt I'll see another.

Great subtle Burgundian aroma. Slight blackberry notes with a sweet overtone. Overall balanced.

Not a Pinot fan but always on the look out. This pleasantly surprised. Spicy yet light. Great find.
