Graacher Himmelreich Kabinett Riesling

If it didn't say Kabinett on the label, I would have guess it was a Spätlese. Pale onion skin color, aromas of orange blossom and a bit of petrol. Tangerine and lime with an oily texture and enough crisp acidity to balance the sweetness.

OK, it's an '11, and so while I'd like the acids to be really searing my face off, this still has great minerality and quite a lot of acidity given the vintage

Good but a bit too sweet. Just a bit.

Tons of flavor, sweet stone fruit and citrus. Minerality for days. Just a stellar bottle.

Hard to believe I paid only $12 for this. All sorts of citrus and flinty goodness. Drink more riesling!

Candid lime med plus acid 8,5 alc

Ok accompaniment to buffalo chicken. Not quite enough acidity to balance residual sugar

Oh my gosh, this is a yummy wine. The closest you can get to drinking a soda while still drinking wine, and I mean that in a good way.

A bit too sweet for what I want from a Kabinett, but good acid and decent minerality.
