A Portuguese blend with parts unknown, although it does taste similar to some Douro blends I've tasted . Blueberries & baking spices (cinnamon, cloves, vanilla) on the nose. Pallate adds blackberry & a hint of black pepper on the finish with medium-low tannins throughout. Finishs quick and a little flat, but overall this wine is quite quaffable & smooth. Also paired exceeding well to drink (& cook) with braised garlic beef short ribs! ($10) [7/12/20]

3 people found it helpfulJul 12th, 2020Tart blackberries and medium tannins. Not much oak or layering, but a fresher taste - maybe the tiniest hint of herb or grass, but not harsh. Easy drinker for poolside bbq - a nice “summer red” - but if it’s spicy bbq then go bolder with a Malbec or big cab/Shiraz. Interest nag for around $15.
