Dark inky in color with a short purple rim.
Tight on the nose with blackberries, plums, cherries, vanilla and metals.
Dry and fruity on the palate with plums, blackberries, blueberries, oak, dirt, earth, vanilla, licorice, baking spice, tobacco, cinnamon, cherries and peppercorn.
Full bodied, fruit forward and aggressive.
Medium finish with green, somewhat bitter tannins and black pepper.
Nice, balanced and will benefit from aging in the next 3 to 5 years.
Enjoyed it just by itself. Definitely a teeth staining red.
14.5% alcohol by volume. Just what I needed before a long flight ...
