A little disappointed with this incarnation (although it improved considerably with more time in the glass). Flavors were definitely muted. Might need some more time in bottle, but this was the weakest of the three JPs we opened tonight.

Nov 13th, 2015A limited release from Jolly Pumpkin (Blend 2, to be specific), this is awesome. Take La Roja and combine it with sour cherry juice and you have a fantastic offering from Michigan's best brewery. Subtle notes of cherries combined with the kind of nose you'd get in a flanders red, this beer has balance, incredible flavors, and a tart finish. Seems to have improved substantially in the few months since its initial release. Fantastic.
