Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett Riesling

Juicy acidity and sweeter than a typical Kabinett... intense aromas of ripe apricot and white peach, confirmed on the palate along with saline and melon

Cheesy fermentative overtones give way to a site-typical amalgam of fresh apple garlanded in honeysuckle and heliotrope. This is another of those Prüm Kabinetts that is watery in a positive sense of that word, combining watercolor-like transparency and wash of flavor with delicacy and refreshment. As with the corresponding Graacher, the finishing sense of wet stone and floral perfume is striking, and here a mouthwatering hint of salinity adds significantly to the appeal. Subtle yellow fruit, tennis ball can nose. Exotic fruit, minerality, petrol and acidic finish. Prum-y sulphur notes. Distinct and good.
