Years ago used to taste this & felt the terroir & detail just jolted out of the glass- this, less so. Still, an elite producer Id defer to, & would try again.

Nose is some baked apple, slate, minerals and a nice layered aspect. Confectionary and really nice. Lovely. Palate is sweet, tense and compact. Good freshness. Very pure. Nice icing on cake texture. Almost a 9.1. Again, tho, seems boring. Does the job type of wine. Like a great long snapper.

Pale lemon color with medium+ intensity aromas of floral, stone and citrus fruits with biscuit notes. On the palate this dry wine shows flavors of peach, ripe apple, lemon, apricot, melon with wet stone mineral. Vivid acidity with great mouthfeel on medium+ finish. Very good drink now for optimal freshness. Tasting Sample.

One of the sweetest Kabinett in recent memory. Great producer, honest wine. The acidity just didn’t sting the palate and bring the electricity that I was expecting.

Disappointed to see a plastic cork when I removed the capsule. This was still in pretty good shape, however, but needed more acid and came off fairly sweet for a Kabinett. Did improve a bit on day two.

Rather sweet for a kabinett. Vibrant and bracing acidity with loads of citrus. Excellent balance for only 8.5%abv

Reminiscent of a lemon curd frosty--if such a thing existed. White honey attack with pleasant barnyard notes. Subtle effervescent rock candy finish with hints of gravel. Excessive sweetness the only thing really holding it back.
