California Zinfandel

Like this wine a lot full flavour and balanced

typical zin. normal zin.

Nice, not overly spicy. Pleasant drinker with meats. Not sure I have it as a daily drinker.

Smooth. Pleasant. Not a lot of character.

Spicy fruit. Ripe. Cleansing tannins. Highly drinkable.

Strong raspberry and blackberry characteristics. A bit brambly with balanced acid, fruit, and some cedar and vanilla notes. Takes a little bit to open up.

Weak nose. Chocolate, pepper and currants. I’m a big fan of Joel (I like what he Gott), but not a fan of this one. Not expensive, not offensive, but not my thing.

Nose: fig, black pepper/smoke Taste: fig again, pleasant, good development, light peppery finish. Moderate tannins.
